Hi Guys
Anyone know if it's possible to pay for an extra bag on Saudi Air instead of excess baggage prices? or Goods shipped from the UK- Saudi a few heavy academic books that I would prefer to have to hand and not on a kindle) How long am I looking at?
* have tried to call the airline - impossible to get a straight answer.

Excess Baggage Charges
UK - Magic Kingdom ----> From $150
■Excess baggage piece should not exceed 23KG and within the Standard Dimension.
■An additional $60 will be charged if over 23KG up to 32KG.
■An additional $100 will be charged if the piece is over the Standard Maximum Weight (32KG) to be ($60 + $100) for each piece.

Unless they have changed, rates for excess are punitive. 1vpercent of first class single fare for each kilo. Find another way. Air freight ? Saudia is actually very efficient at this and the Cargo section makes a profit in a verty competiovie business.

In the past, air freight was always a fraction of the excess baggage charges(checking an extra suitcase or being overweight).
