Hello friends!
Long time lurker, first time poster. Hope everyone's doing swell!
So last year I taught in South Korea for a year and had a great time. I'm now back in Canada getting my Bachelor of Education and M.A. in order to gain an upper edge in getting teaching jobs.
I have 2 questions for you.
1) If I have a B.Ed. will I still need a TESOL/CELTA certificate to get most teaching jobs abroad?
2) Where can I teach and SAVE the most amount of money (excluding the Middle East)?
In regards to question 2, I was saving about $1,000 a month in Korea which is great, but am wondering if I can save anywhere around that in Hong Kong or Macau where I aspire to teach one day. I will be graduating with a heavy student debt load and therefore what I can save is uber important.
Thanks friends! |

Yes, if you expect to compete for the better-paying jobs. Get a CELTA.

Take a look at "Countries that offer the highest salaries - top 3" (http://forums.eslcafe.com/job/viewtopic.php?t=97347) |
