From a reliable facebook friend:

"SFO closed. Two dead so far according to daughter who works at SFO."

I fear it may be more, maybe a lot more, from the look of the crash scene photos.

Update: two killed, seventy injured, ten of those critical: 8 adults, two children. Bad as that is, if those are all the casualties, it"ll be a miracle.

Update:

"San Mateo County confirms for a second time that there have been NO reports of deaths at the SFO plane crash. And they would know."


Update: disregard previous update. Certain now: 2 dead, 180+ injured, at least ten critically.

From what I've heard the fire started after the evacuation was well under way, which is why the casualties are lower than you might expect from the photos.
