Kinda high, but where?
I know Suzhou near Shanghai, and maybe this is what you need to do for a "Suzhou" position.
However, if they are correct about "Suizhou" I wouldn't do 25 classes. Personally, I don't know the area, if it is IMMENSELY better that "Suzhou", then my apologizes. I'll take it if you don't.
I think the recruiters are playing you. I think they want to feed off the "Nike"/"Suzhou" name and upped the class load.
With that said, not all 25 class contracts require 25. I earned 7,000 for 18 classes per week and the school could have scheduled more. If it is under 20, that is ok. If you have to do 25 classes and 15 office hours, not only is that brutal but underpaid. Get ready to be chained and whipped.
Take a nice relaxing 20 or less classes, no office hours, at 7,000/month offer and then you can always do overtime for more pay.
By agreeing high and working less, your pay will only go down.
The only way to know what city you are actually considering is to see the Chinese hanzi, the Chinese characters. Ask them to give the offer in Chinese writing. |

Hey thanks for your reply. It is Suizhou in Hubei Province.
The 25 hours includes my office time as well |

I'd go for the Kunshan job, it's a much better location. |

If the hours are maximum, I'd ask about typical workload.
Don't know either locale but the outfit with the most FTs would be what I'd choose.
Have to say that a true international school would pay way more than the quoted figure. But then you would need to be a certificated teacher from your home country. |
