Is there a dance studio in Saigon? And if so, does it teach hip hop? I'm a dancer and was wondering how the dance scene is in Saigon, as well as the process of potentially teaching in one of these studios if they exist. |

Indeed there is, it's called neverlearn and they have a lot of dancers who are currently working there. It sounds like a great fit for you and I can imagine that you would do very well in the demo lesson. I have heard that if one can swallow swords, ride a unicycle, present a few magic tricks that one would also be employed immediately.
Unfortunately, I have never heard of a hip-hop dance studio besides the so called bottom of the barrel English centres.
You may want to check out the Word website, may have info. |

Hip Hop is not a style of dance nor isn't a music genre.
Hip Hop is a culture, and there are 4 elements to hip hop:
1. EmCing
2. Graffiti
3. DJing
4. Break dancing
Sexy dance classes are all the rage in Saigon now along with Yoga.
If you're a real B-boy you don't want to live in Saigon. Seoul is the B-boy capital of Asia right now, but you won't learn Vietnamese in Seoul. So looks like you'll be dancing with yourself in Vietnam. |

Hey Tigerstyleone, are you into hip hop, or are you just knowledgeable about the 4 pillars? Please don't take this as an attack on your character, I mean no harm, I'm just naturally curious.
And I've always generally like Japanese bboys over the Koreans. It's something about the way they move, they always look like they're having a blast. |

Yes, in my youth I was a writer and dancer too.
I agree with you about Japanese B-boys, they really enjoy the creative side of breaking where the Koreans are more focused on power moves. |

FYI:
I saw a dance studio on Pasteur Street about a block from Dien Bien Phu on the right hand side. Sign was in English too. I saw they had "hip-hop"
I think it was called Soul or something like that. |
