Sorry for asking another visa question (I'm aware that there are several floating about already). But this question goes specifically to those who are working at universities. Here's my situation:
I'm currently on a humanities visa, which only expires early next year. I'm also working at a uni at the moment - 2x a week. Total of 5 koma's. Another 2x a week I work at a kindergarten.
I've been told that to work at a uni you need to change your visa status to a "professor"s visa. But I also heard that to get a "professor"s visa you need at least 6 "koma"s.
So, is it true that you can't work on a humanities visa at a university? What are my options? "Instructors" visa? Any help is greatly appreciated.
thanking you in advance |

I taught at a uni part time and had to get a different visa to my huminties one. Simple enough, called something like "allowed to engage in other activities than main job visa" A year later they switched me over to a professor visa as I was earning more from the uni than my main job which I had reduced to part time. Really didn't seem a big deal though. |
