Anyone had experience with Edwin Recruitment out of the UK? Couldn't find any posts here about them.
Thanks |

I've never heard of them. I do like the edutainment depiction on your avatar, even thought that's probably not what it is. Have you taught in the Thai educational system? |

There are a ton of recruitment company names though so getting info on one particular one is likely to be difficult.
Do you have the actual name of the person you're dealing with? Recruiters often work for multiple outfits and the UK recruitment network is nice and small so everyone seems to know everyone else. |

Recently completed an interview with this company. I looked them up on the net and found their website was just created about three weeks ago at the time of this writing. Company is based in UK, incorporated in March 2013, and research showed the director/owner was Mr. Khalid (MOD edit) who, incidentally was the person who did the skype interview sans webcam I might add (although I had my webcam on). He had a nice British accent but we easily flowed into Arabic. When questioned about his newly formed company and the very optimistic picture painted by his website, he informed me that "we at my company" have many years experience teaching in KSA. Since his company is a newbie on the scene, I asked about his wasta and if he had any "connections" in KSA. He never told me the names of his "clients" for whom he was recruiting nor did he indicate just how many people worked in his newly formed company. He did tell me a horror story of his own about a teaching experience in KSA which he said taught him a lesson he wants to pass on to those he recruits. He also advised me to never take a job in KSA unless I have work permit/visa in hand before arriving so that it can be converted into Iqama relatively quickly. We did not discuss salaries, living conditions or working conditions. I was more curious about whether he was legit or not. So that is my experience with Edwin Consulting. If anyone else knows anything, please post. Thanks.

I just registered with this company. I wondering how long it takes before you get contacted for an interview. Someone told me it takes about three weeks before they schedule an interview with you. Does anyone know?
My friend just had an interview with them, and told me the interviewer was khalid and that he was very friendly. Sounds legit, but who knows? |

No one can say; just registering or applying for positions doesn't guarantee you'll even get an interview. Generally, recruiters will only contact applicants whose qualifications are a strong match for open positions. |

I also had a recent interview with them and the interviewer was friendly. His name was Khalid. They got back to me pretty quickly and seemed professional so far. As the previous poster mentioned, they are a new company, and they seem to be recruiting for different projects. I was told after the interview that my application is being reviewed by their clients, and that they will get back to me soon. We'll see how it goes. |
