I will be starting Nova in August but I have a few questions.

1) do most people get one of their three choices
2) Will I need to work overtime just to make enough money to save the first couple of months? ( Is this even an option?)
3)How far in advance will they tell me my destination so I can buy my plane ticket?
4)Is there a good place to buy a plane ticket?

Thanks in advance for any information

Nova says they try to place you in one of your choices, but You will end up where they believe you are needed the most. Sometimes no where near where you would like.

Depending on how much you bring with you. Nova suggests you bring at least $1200 USD. But they also offer loans to help get you by as it may be six weeks before you get your first paycheck. BUt then then take it out over four months.. I would say bring about $2500 with you and forget the loans. You should be able to get by fine if you don't go out partying everynight. That will definitely eat up the bank account.

AS for flights.. Nova has an agreement with Travel Agents in various countries so you can get a cheep flight. They will give you the information. You might check priceline.com or hotwire.com and maybe you can find something even cheaper. You will Fly into Tokyo or Osaka...

Good luck...
