To come to the US to take a TESOL or TEFL 4-week program? I see ITTT for example has NYC programs. But what is the procedure---do they apply FOR you for the visa to enter the US?

I suggest you contact the course provider directly as well as check their website for possible visa info.

Gloomy, as a UK citizen, you can enter the US under the visa waiver program and stay for up to 90 days. (I can't remember for sure, but I'm assuming you're British.)

I am a US citizen teaching abroad with my Guyanese wife. She would like to take a US-based cert program. But its difficult for a Guyanese citizen to get even a tourist visa for the US. I was wondering if these us_based programs make it easier for certain foreigners to get in to the US in general.

So, logically, she should get a spousal visa for the US as well.
