It's the only documentary I know of on historical linguistics, though it does focus solely on the debate w/in the field over the legitimacy of the so-called "Nostratic Hypothesis" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nostratic_languages), as well as the idea of "Proto-World" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Proto-Human_language).
Still, for a linguistics nerd like me, it's really cool to see Merritt Ruhlen AND Joseph Greenberg AND Don Ringe interviewed on camera.
