Probably for much the same reason that the US won't switch to the metric system. Habit... and too lazy to change.

The Soviets banged out a few intergalactic 'firsts' using the metric system. |

Was science in America still using Foot Pounds in place of Newtons during the Apollo missions? I don't know. |

It's nonsense that the Americans went to the moon!!!
On the other hand, the prophet did cut the moon in half with his sword and somehow, miraculously, stuck it back together again!!! |

My bad. I should have posted the link with no comments about kilograms, stones, cubits and acres.
There are a LOT of morbidly obese dudes in KSA. Dames too, but you don't see them so much.
I do remember some students who could not fit into seats. they had top use a carpet and sit on the floor. |
