Hi
I am thinking of moving to BA early next year.
What sorts of savings would I need in order to set up - ie food, accomodation,
Im not looking to save whilst teaching. If I break even every month I will be happy. Just moving there for the experience of living in Argentina. Will $2000 of savings be enough to begin with. How long would this last me?
I currently have about $2000 in savings
I have a BA and CELTA qualification
Thanks |

Hi.
That should cover initial essentials. You will spend it all, so try to get contacts and set up interviews before you go.
You will be very lucky to break even teaching in Buenos Aires, unless you are sharing costs. Even DELTA trainers have trouble breaking even in Buenos Aires.
I've posted a reply to a similar question here:

How long will ten grand USD last in Buenos Aires? This is presuming the person iin question lives in a somewhat frugal manner. High and low ballpark estimates will be appreciated. |
