I'm leaving for HCMC in a few days. I plan to stay till January, so not really interested in getting a teaching visa. I just wanna clear a few things up before I go.
First, I understand that it is worthwhile to invest in a cheap 50 hour online TESOL, so that schools can tick "yes" on the TESOL box when I apply. Is this accurate?
Also, do I need to bring my degree? I have a scan of it on my computer. Will schools accept a print out?
Thanks. |

So you're only staying for the duration of a 3 month tourist visa, right? Just bring your backpack and enjoy the scene. I'm sure there are always a few desparate language mills that will hire you as a part-timer or substitute.
I'd bring all original documents. |

I would say do the online TESOL if you have the time. You never know when it might come in handy or you get a half decent offer.
For a 3 month stay it is not worth it, but who knows what might happen after? |
