There are so many blanket comments being made here of late that I think it is time people start posting some evidence for their points.

By Hong Konger.."6) Abuse is a real problem. A study recently indicated 80% of the girls are abused before age 16. All boys abused by age 17."

Where on earth did you get these figures!! What study!!

We are told that the education system is breaking down...give us some examples... Hong Kong people think there is no future...do they!!! Not the ones I know. Start substantiating points or stop posting them.

Once again, dear fellow - where on earth have you been for the past 10 years?!!

Is it the constant lack of 6+hr sleep; or the confines of your box-like coffin of a flat; or possibly the over-exposure to the plethora of medical, health and financial problems; or maybe the preoccupation of viewing all of the youth abuse outside your window; or maybe you have the old chinese mind - reticence and void of self-expression and emotion - are any of these reasons a feasible excuse for you missing the sinking of the ship known as Hong Kong?

Stay at your peril. Everyone else is off to Shanghai, and last one there is a sissy.

Let us know when you finish writing your book. Very Happy
I quite like Hong Kong. Found the pollution a bit hard to take initially (towards the end of last year) but it doesn't seem too bad at the moment. Perhaps I've just acclimatized.
