it is worth applying to them or are they places to be avoided? |

Do a search on each of these... here and on google. It never hurts to apply although the last two with "American" in their name don't hire many native speakers... or at least haven't for some time.
ADU had issues in the past, but it has been a very long time since teachers showed up here to complain. Last I heard, it was a place that hired few MA holders, and was focused on CELTA/DELTA holders and had shared housing.
I do recall some discussion of Al-Hosn not long ago.
Often one needs to take a job at a second level university to get a foot in the door.

Al-Hosn, when I knew it, was a collection of villas near-ish ADMC. The poster asking about it seems to have been swallowed up by it!
