Im applying for a job in a language school and had a look on their website for things to mention in my covering letter regarding how I would fit in with the schools teaching methodology. The website is very basic but they have stated "ORG employs a flexible resource material approach based on inhouse created teacher friendly worksheets"
However, I have no idea what it means really....
Do the depend on completing worksheets to teach, so I would be teaching a specific item and then the worksheet checks this or that I create the worksheets?
Thanks for any advice,

The latter. The curriculum is supported by teacher-created worksheets/supplemental material, which isn't uncommon. |

having to create your own worksheets may also mean that students do not have textbooks. if you are volunteering with an underfunded charitable organisation, ok. but i've done this in for-profit places and it is awful. it adds a lot of work on to your schedule, and if you're a new teacher (i'm making a big assumption here) it may be difficult to guage how much students will complete in a session or what sort of exercises will be of the most benefit, etc.
hopefully, they have a bank of work other teachers have done. |
