Wasn't sure where to post this - here or on the Russian forum. I plumped for here, as it is not just about Russia.
Here's the question. What do posters think of this recent TV series?

My own answer is below, printed in white. Highlight it to read.
Utter, utter rubbish, which manages to mangle some truly beautiful short stories. How I hate this dismal miscarriage of a show! From the absurdity of an American actor putting on a bad Britlike accent while playing a Russian, to the inappropriate and distasteful and deeply unfunny attempts slapstick humour, I find myself cringing from one scene to the next, all the time wailing "Forgive them Bulgakov! For they do not know what they do!" |
