Hi I've got a residente temporal card giving me permission to work here in Mexico for 1 year. I've been working in my current job in Salamanca, Guanajuato for 6 months. I really want to leave and find another job somewhere else in Mexico. Does anyone have any experience of changing jobs with the new visa? Is it straightforward or am I gonna have to pay/wait for ages before I can start working?

Thanks in advance

Change of status and address for the visa is not difficult at all, though yes it could take some time to get done. You should be fine to work while the changes are being processed, assuming you are staying within the field of teaching and not switching to, say, brain surgery at a local hospital. Wink
