Hello everyone. I'm just stumbled onto this website and was hoping you guys could help me. I'm debating whether or not to take the plung and teach abroad. I am in the process of getting an EU passport. So here's what I'd like to know:
I haven't taken a course yet...I'm not sure whether to take one here in New York or do a program in Italy. Is it easier to do one in Italy and set up contacts there?
What is the best time of year should I start looking for work?
Is it difficult to find work even with an EU passport?
Thanks for your help...I don't know where else to get these answers.

I hope someone answers. Maybe I'll understand the way things work. I posted a message earlier and want some of the same answers. Doesn't seem like the Italy page gets top many visits. Help us out there!
Good Luck!!! |

This is not intended to be rude, but if you look at some of the earlier posts on this forum, you'll see loads of general stuff about Americans working in Italy. (Simple answer is "no" - not unless you have EU nationality, are married to an Italian etc.) |
