I was wondering what people's experiences are in getting a new residence permit in a new province (not a z visa for the first time).

For me:

1) I am in Hebei
2) They (whoever makes the decisions, PSB?) asked for reference contact information from every previous employer, even in other countries.
3) They suggested the school only do a 6 month contract.
4) They required an interview after the school successfully got the FEC.

Does anyone else have similar experiences in Hebei or other provinces? So far I have done this RP stuff 4 times without a hitch. This time, things are coming up that never came up before.
