Hey folks,
I have an interview with Vinnell coming up. I have read through the past posts about how terrible they are, so I am aware of the complaints.

I feel comfortable with most of the obstacles I will face. Here are two main questions I have;

Any clue about the salary? I have a Bachelors and Masters in English and about 3 years of ESL in the Middle East (Oman)

Lastly, I know it is possible to bring my dogs into the KSA but I am not sure about the compound (I am assuming its not possible) any ideas about that? Could I live off the compound instead?

No pets allowed in shared high-rise Vinnell compund apartments, and living off compound is not an option for English teachers.

Does anyone have any idea as to salary figures working with Vinnell these days?

NOt sure about the salary, but it is less than at least 3 or 4 other prominent similar DLI outfits in KSA. However, despite this there is much to be said for having western management in place as they do at Vinnell. Believe me, I went for more money and am now dealing with psychological trainwrecks daily, with absolutely no recourse to common sense or fairness.

Living off-compound is definitely an option for any employee, it's just that it's expensive for your typical Vinnelli, especially a ELTS peon. The new (old) compound blows with such suckiness that you don't want the job for that reason alone.

Salary = +/- 4500/mo.

Assuming that this amount is before taxes, what would be the approximate take-home pay per month? I have heard that Vinnell deducts social security/medicare taxes as well as federal taxes...

Of course US felines cannot imagine that on Terra there are other currencies.
