Would anybody know if the temples in Kyoto have a day-off (closed)during the weekdays?
I am thiking of visiting on a Monday. |

Possibly, though most likely it will be open. When I first came to Japan we went to Naritasan and I think that was a Thursday morning (5am-ish). A small temple like that being open makes me think a larger one would be. |

Go to Fushimi Inari. Open round the clock (well, the path up the hill) and a shrine plus hike is more interesting than your usual shrine. |
