Education Experts are recruiting for Saudi. This is a warning ... be careful. They will ask for money up front £500 for visa and health check. They do not have the jobs they claim to have. I and many others (check Glassdoor website) fell for this last year and i am still waiting to get my deposit back. I have even tried to claim it back through the courts and they simply ignore them.
Just a warning...
And s someone has already told me ...NEVER give money upfront, something I've never done before but I still got suckered |

What position(s) were you hoping to get? In other words, did you apply to specific vacancies that EdEx advertised for? I'm not defending them, but be aware that some companies, like EdEx, have teacher contracts with more than one client. So teachers who sign on with them essentially agree to being sent to any client location.
Always research the employer before signing on the dotted line. |

they told me they had several university/school contracts and I agreed to be placed anywhere. I was flexible where I could go. |

And just to be clear, I did research the company, and EDex definitely have contracts in Saudi just not as many as they say. But the real point is if they cant place a person, thats ok but have the decency to return the deposit |

Their reputation isn't so hot--- there's plenty about them within this forum.
I'm American, so I'm unfamiliar with the process for getting the lab tests and exam done in the UK. But if you've completed that part of the process and have your lab results and med exam in hand, it would seem that you should be able to apply to other companies without having to redo that requirement. |

unfortunately they didnt provide either the health check or the visa and I have to take the responsibility for handing money over in the first place. But its a good point and my warning is intended exactly for this. with hindsight I should have asked EDex to pay for it all first and then I would have paid after wards. |

As much as I dislike EdEx, the visa agent is more to blame here. The recommended agent in London is charging a large amount of dosh and he and his company should be held responsible.
Also, the medical fees vary a lot country to country and even within a country. For example, in the UK some people have to go to a hospital for all the blood tests and the medical check up and they have to pay hundreds of pounds. Their GP won't do the tests... I was lucky in that my local GP did everything and I only had to pay 40 pounds to visit him.
This is my third contract in Saudi and no company has offered to pay my visa/medical fees upfront. They always reimburse me when I am in Saudi.. |

I have just received confirmation from the courts that judgement has been entered against EdEx to get my deposit back. I suggest all those who have been through same as me take the same action. I will also be contact Watchdog (on Tv) to shame this company. |

Would this be Britannia by any chance?
I also find that the recruiters can also be partially to blame too! |
