Hi Everyone,
I am a 23 year old male, recent college grad (May 2013) and also CELTA certified. I have about six months of experience teaching adults between doing some private lessons, volunteering at my local community college on weekends, and the teaching practice in the CELTA course.
My goal is to eventually get a high-paying ESL job in the Middle East and pay off student loan debt, but because these jobs generally require more experience than I have, I'll need to get my foot in the door somewhere else..
I've recently interviewed and been offered a job with Oxford International Language School in Adana, Turkey. They are offering 2000 TL per month, shared accommodation, and the return flight.
Basically, I want to know:
1. If anyone has any experience with the Oxford International Language Schools? Are they reputable??
2. Is this a good job offer considering that I don't have much experience and that I'm looking to get started in the Middle East? Could I do better??
3. How far can 2000 TL get me in southern Turkey (particularly in Adana)?
I would love to hear advice from teachers with any experience in Turkey, especially Adana! Thanks!! |
