|

Hi guys, some advice would really be appreciated.
I just scored an English lesson for the community centre in my area, they want me to teach two beginner classes of 10 students(All ages but mainly adults) once a week.
The course will be roughly 20 weeks long. They've also left it up to me to choose the contents and texbook.
Can you reccomend any suitable textbooks? Bear in mind that some of the students will be complete beginners and come from all walks of life, so a business textbook wouldn't be suitable.
Thnanks in advance |

Well maybe a starter book like from Headway, which is British or American, or Top Notch, from Longman.
It depends what you want to teach.
Four Corners has many speaking exercises, and is from Cambridge.
American English File has a lot of basic English, and focuses on the fundamentals. |

I went with Four corners, it looks like a fun book for a large class.
Thanks for your recommendations. |
