What would be the best country in which to teach privates?

To my mind, this would be a place where it is easy to get a residence or long-term visa, where students are willing and able to pay, where students are motivated and show up, etc. Alternatively, who is doing privates and having a good time of it?

In my case, MATESOL, experienced in learning disabilities (helps because many people are undiagnosed and that's why they seek private lessons).

It's unclear if you're looking for private work as your sole source of income versus working a full-time TEFL position while tutoring on the side.

What's best for me are individual lessons and translations at home, esp English for the learning disabled. I've been honing my technique over a decade. I can't work fulltime. Anyplace that would lower my COL would be great, because in NAm it's not feasible. I speak several languages and open to more.
