|
|
ILA informs me:
Quote: |
Some Consulates do not issue 3 month tourist visas...
(Visa-on-arrival) Cost is:
- 3 month single visa: 45USD for the visa fee [it will be paid in cash/ USD at the airport] plus 30USD for the agency fee [it will be paid in cash at ILA]
- 3 month multiple visa: 95USD for the visa fee [it will be paid in cash/ USD at the airport] plus 45USD for the agency fee [it will be paid in cash at ILA]
*The visa fees may be very different depending on the passport. |
I'm in Beijing and I'd rather avoid the $45 agency fee. Anyone get a 3-mo in Beijing (or anywhere else) in 2013? If so, how much did you pay?[/b] |

ILA doesn't cover the visa costs of it's teachers? Or are they planning to reimburse you later? |

I've only applied to take their CELTA course, not to teach with them. |

Embassies tend to set their own fees so your only hope is to contact them.
Another option would be to find another agent to get your visa on arrival. Others seem to be cheaper than what ILA are asking you to pay so have a look round. I'd recommend you get a 3 - month Single entry unless you are expecting to travel around a lot. |

This has been a few years back when I used to need a visa for entry into Viet Nam - however I had been to Vietnamese Embassies and Vietnamese Consulates in several different nations. Each and every time the embassy/consulate price for a three-month visa was ALWAYS around 75% - 125% MORE expensive than an online visa-on-arrival!
However, I am NOT sure if that has changed today, but by looking at a few internet sites for Vietnam Visas on arrival (simply Google it) and finding prices there and then calling or visiting the Vietnamese Embassy in Beijing and getting THEIR price for the same visa ahead of time should give you an accurate picture as to which way is cheapest! Good luck! |
