Hi folks,
I had an enhanced CRB check when I did my CELTA in the UK, as we were mainly teaching immigrants to the UK at the local college.
This was back in 2010 so it's no longer valid.
Is it worth getting a new one in the UK (I think it is called DBS now) and get it notarised with the FCO before I go to Vietnam to look for work?
I read somewhere that it was to be issued within the last 3 months to be able to apply for a WP in-country.
Surely it helps to have it to wave at prospective schools?
Also just to confirm, is this the best way to proceed.
1) Do some research online
2) Get 3 month tourist visa
3) Find temp digs online
4) Go to VN
5) Hit the streets and follow up, network etc
Its not what you do in China, unless you want an unpleasant time...but hey!...different place, different rules! |
