Googled the topic quite a bit but can't seem to find this info. Anyway, if anyone in here knows the answer as to what the legal minimum required salary to bring in dependents to japan is? Thanks. |

Not sure if there is one. You just need a visa. |

IIRC, there is a minimum for legal workers on certain Visas. This is to ensure that the person will be able to survive and things like that. I dont know the number. But if it's an English teaching job, dont go below 240,000. |

Not sure if you're asking about the minimum wage legal wise or the recommended amount for you to try to earn.
Either way, most English teaching paying jobs range monthly between 200,000 and 250,000 yen [~2000 - 2500 US$] for entry level (where dependents' status are not shown a particular preference in the job ads). The lowest I've seen so far was around 170'000 yen.
In any case two key points to make a difference for you would be, to find a reasonably priced accommodation and to live in a suburban city where living expenses aren't too extravagant. Do it right and you'll be just past the break even point without a working spouse and living a reasonable lifestyle. |
