Could someone inform me where expats normally gather in Qingdao (for drinking or any other reason.) I have a Korean friend there (who speaks excellent English) and she's having a difficult time finding English-speaking (or Korean speaking people) to associate with.
Any information is appreciated.

Easy!
The corner Jazz bar is very popular, also Le Bains douce (the french bar) Angela and willies (german place) as well as the sports bar in the crown plaza hotel... (just to name a few..
