Does anyone know whether Capergirl has ever posted a funny, or at least light-hearted, message? Is she the most humour-less, conservative contributor to this forum?

If you don't like what she has to say, why don't you just ignore her? |

Dear Teacher Lindsay,
I can recall a good number of Capergirl's postings that I thought were funny and/or light-hearted.
What I can't recall is her ever posting a mean-spirited, gratuitously nasty or personally insulting one - unlike some other posters on these forums.
Regards,
John |

I find Capergirl's postings generally interesting, informative, helpful, lighthearted, well written and indicative of a lively, positive, inquisitive spirit. They make me happy.
Did I mention that I'm in love with her. I am right aren't I? All of our Avatars are true likenesses?. Yes?
Rock on Capergirl. Wield that sword! |

Capergirl has never insulted or belittled anyone to my knowledge unless someone else attecked her first. She certainly doesn't start a post about someone she doesn't like.
Grow up. |

Teacher Lindsay--
What could possibly have inspired you to start such a mean-spirited thread? Capergirl certainly doesn't deserve your insults.

Capegirl has made some wonderful contributions to this message board.
I really, really like reading her insights and perspectives.
She's great. |

Yes, you are right, Teacher Lindsay, Capergirl is rather conservative and uptight in some of her posts. She hails from a rather conservative part of a fairly conservative country, where men are men and the sheep are uneasy. Her sense of humour does tend to flag at times. But then, given the somewhat outre nature of a conspicuous minority of our fellow posters,
I dont freaking BLAME her!!!!!!!! |

Why do you think that I don't like what she has to say?
Johnslat
Can you offer an example or two?

Which post in particular?

Which posts did you find lighthearted?

Did someone state that they don't like Capergirl?
"Grow up" as in be a grown up as in be able to distinguish between a critique and an insult?

What is mean-sprited about questioning the syle of someone's prose?

I didn't question Capergirl's insights and perspectives.
Khermit
If you're implying that Capergirl's writings act as a counter-balance to some of the more bizarre contributions, I certainly wouldn't argue.

Dear Teacher Lindsay,
I could - very easily. However, the preception of what would constitute a "funny" or "light-hearted" message, is, I suspect, like beauty, in the eye of the beholder.
And I further suspect that my perception of "funny" and "light-hearted" may differ considerable from yours. Besides, your question implies that you have already read all of Capergirl's postings and have decided that she is, in your opinion, "humor-less" and "conservative".
While you most certainly have the right to your opinion, I'd say the same holds true for me. My opinion of Capergirl's postings is that they are highly valuable, as well as often funny and light-hearted contributions to these forums. If you're curious, I'll be glad to PM you my opinion of yours.
Regards,
John |

From the question in your post was your attempt at sarcasm, than you need a little work in that dept. If it was something else, than explain yourself.
Grow up, as in be able to take a little criticism. I've noticed how the two of you exchanged barbs on another thread relating to an old man with fantasies and no discretion. |

It's not that difficult to occasionally be witty, is it?

Does the right of free speech exist in your home country or is it a foreign concept to you?
