Google translate doesn't work very well for Chinese. You say you have the English version?

No I'm sorry, the 2nd document was the "contract style" document he meant to send the first time.

I asked if they had a website, he said they did not

No. 3, Hail Road Nanyue District of Hengyang City, Hunan Province

I don't know what "contract style" means; do you have a contract in English? If not, you should get one.

It's hard to describe, but it's a xls document

Top part is in all Chinese, the bottom part in all English. It's not an actual contract (at least I hope not)

but what bothered me about the first document that was sent was this...

Could it be the SAFEA contract?

But that last bit...that sounds dodgy as hell to me.

Id guess thats the contract between the recruiting agent and the employer. Thats the two parties listed ... naturally there is going to be a fee paid to the recruiter.

Also google translate is awful ... certainly not to be trusted on something like a contract or legal document. This wouldnt be a red flag for me yet. The contract between employer and recruiter isnt my concern ... employer and employee is the key thing.
