|
|
I'm from USA, wife is Filipina. I have Non-Imm O, she has Non-Imm B. I teach here, our baby daughter (born here) is 6 months old.
Initially we were told we don't have to worry about visa for her. We did register her birth and all that good stuff and she has 2 passports (US + Phil.).
We flew to Phil. for XMAS and came back, and baby's passport was stamped 30 days. What should we do at this point? I keep getting mixed answers. Do we say, "forget about it" she's only a baby? Obviously w/ our year long visas and 90 day reporting we're not going to be doing border runs for a 6 month old. What, if any financial penalties would apply if we do nothing? Etc..
Any help would be appreciated, first hand experience even more so
Thanks |

| Update: Nobody knows. Wife just spent 2 hrs at immigration, went to 3 counters and no one was able to tell us what we're supposed to do. Finally, they gave up and said just do nothing. So, hopefully we don't get banged big fees upon next departure... it's just an infant. |
