I am TEFL qualified with 2 years full time experience teaching in China (English First) as well as eight years part time / voluntary experience of teaching and working with kids. I'm hoping to move to Japan in September (after doing a summer school in the UK) and am starting to look into job applications.
After two years with EF I want to move into kindergarten and focus on teaching younger kids (and work somewhere that is more like a 9-5 rather than having a crazy schedule).
Are there any well known Kindergartens in Japan I should apply to directly? Any scam jobs I should avoid? I'd love to work somewhere small and independent but will also look into larger companies / chains.
Thanks. |

As far as I know Kinder Kids is the only kindergarten that is "national" and has a good reputation. |

I teach kindies in the morning, kind of a dispatch thing, different one every day.
There is a company called Vantage that do the same but you are at Kindies all day, they look ok I am thinking about trying them if I can work up the mettle to spend all day at kindies.
There are probably various companies that send teachers to kindies in the morning in fact, but as far as I know Vantage is the only one that has you there all day.
If you mean working full-time at just the one, I dont know squat about that except I have seen adds on Ohaiyo-Sensei for some. Have a look there. |
