Gratuitous apostrophization grates on my nerves, but I do see plenty of acceptable uses for it. My vote is "neutral."

I forgot to mention that subscriptions for the current year are payable now. Pm me for further details on payment options. Due to problems with the Intergalactic Federation, payments in Tralfamadorean Tangents are no longer acceptable. Hard currency only. No US Dollars. |

I'n afraid John that an organization that mocks

is not worthy of respect. There are more people killed every year by falling coconuts than shark attacks or snake bites, and as somebody who is builing a house in the middle of a cocounut plantation I appreciate every piece or research into the matter. |

Last January I was walking on a cement path through a forest in Sulawesi. A coconut crashed into the pavement a couple of meters from me, leaving a crack in the cement.
I walked the rest of the way with my hands on my head, glancing up to make sure I wasn't underneath any more trees... |

John, Thank you. I will post the article on my front gate if I ever decide to sell.
This struck me as interesting.

So the Ignobel is actually near us and capable of being questioned. I would say that a hell of a lot more people have been killed by Emirati drivers than by falling coconuts.
People falling out of coconut trees is very common. Particularly if they drink some of the toddy before they climb to tap some more. |
