Dear John,

Although I am far away from the American politicians, you and a few followers of yours, I appreciate your acknowledgement of my skills.

Warm regards to all that think Russia should be smaller than the US
Joe

Russia is the greatest country on Earth! And not just because of its vastness.

Dear wonderingjoesmith.

Your wording is a bit confusing:

"Although I am far away from the American politicians, you and a few followers of yours, I appreciate . . ."

That states that I (and a few followers of mine - um, just looked behind; don't see anyone following) are politicians.

Would I be teaching ESL if I were a politician? I doubt it. Besides, I lack the lack of integrity, the ability to lie smoothly, and while I have dabbled in hypocrisy, I'm far from professional at it.

You might want to stick to the jargon - it's safer.Very Happy

Regards,
John

Dear John,

I thank you for the gentle push that was so necessary.

Respectfully Yours,

There are still a few spots in our re-education centres. Shall I have the Black Ravens pull up outside your door? You too can graduate!

And the current state of the Ukraine is in limbo. Kiev is warning eastern parts of the nation to stop unrests or it'll use force to restore order. What's going to haunt the present leadership is its legitimacy and how it's been formed. I predict a reunion of eastern Ukraine with Russia and Crimea and foresee greatly deteriorating relationship between east and west.

After what happened in Crimea, I think the US and the EU will have told Vlad in no uncertain terms to keep his hands off the Ukraine.

No, I think the lessons of Munich '38 have been learned. Peace in our time!

All these references to '38. I think the parallel with President Polk is worth exploring more...

At least he offered to buy Cuba; I doubt very much that Vlad offered the Ukraine any compensation for Crimea. Kremlin cheapskate!
