An advert which is generating some controversy. Some love it, some think it is exploiting the heroism of the Great War.
Posters, decide!!

Comrade, we at the People's Committee for Patriotic Holidays have reviewed this film, we abhor the idea of capitalist roaders using this to advertise their continued exploitation of the working classes in the UK.
However, we do find the message of the common brotherhood of all people shows the true futility of capitalist wars fueled by the bourgeoisie classes exploiting the workers and proletariat classes who are being forced into nationalistic warfare with other working class people. A truly joyous holiday commercial would feature the soldiers not only uniting together for a football match, but their refusal to continue as slaves to their imperialist masters, dogs much the same as Czar Nicholas II.
Thankfully the Bolsheviks showed the way forward, following the path along which the great Comrade Lenin did lead us, through the storm clouds to a brighter future where all people unite in fraternal brotherhood to build up socialism as the Party acting as the vanguard of the revolution leads us forward to the glory of the final victory of Communism everywhere!

Lenin is dead. Communism is dead.
Communism is a failed form of Government that usually leads to dictatorship - One example is Stalin who was a barbaric ruler in the Russian history, he was responsible for millions of deaths including poor people, and destroyed the brotherhood of humanity! |

Doubleplus good, Sasha? Are you O'Brien in disguise? I think we should be told!
Lenin's dead? I was wondering why he hadn't replied to any of my fan letters. |

Not O'Brien. But we train many operatives to be as ruthless as him. For starters, people who degrade the English language, as on this very thread, are usually bumped o... to the top of the re-education list...
This is the one true path to universal brotherhood. |

Fear not Comrade, our path is a righteous one!
Our comrades have led the way, holding high the red flag of revolution, sacrificing all for the liberation of all oppressed people, we shall follow in their glorious foot-steps enduring the long march down the path of liberation forever mindful of our red banners which lead the people forward. We must always be aware of the sacrifices which party members have made to end the oppression of all subjugated people.
We call on all who share our ideals to unite with us in fraternal solidarity with all revolutionary movements, fellow travelers shall plant the seeds of revolutionary ferment, which shall bear fruit as the workers ripen to the knowledge of another way forward, a shining path luminescently aglow with the foundations of Marx, Engels & Lenin providing a scientific basis to lead the masses out of the darkness of capitalist-imperialist exploitation, finally passing through the first rays of socialist sunshine piercing through the prison walls of capitalistic imprisonment. Finally, the workers step into the glorious sunlight of pure communism, able to shatter the chains of oppression and exploitation once and for all!

Marx is dead.
Engels is dead.
Lenin is dead.
Communism is dead.
This is one of the demagogical manoeuvre of the communists like Stalin and Lenin who justified their transition to fascism and dictatorship of the proletariat which destroyed the life of millions of the working class and innocent people.
The working class in the ex-Soviet union were oppressed and exploited and exposed to degeneration under the rules of Marxism and Communism! |

Also among the deceased are Adam Smith and Milton Friedman, but capitalism's alive and kicking. Likewise uncle Adolf and fascism.
As for the true path: I hear the choco ration's been cut again... I mean increased, sorry. |

In the long run we are all dead... Now who said that again?
Of course, some of us wind up deader than doornails sooner than others. Some even get Darwin awards for their efforts! |

Dear Sasha,
John Maynard Keynes - "The long run is a misleading guide to current affairs. In the long run we are all dead. Economists set themselves too easy, too useless a task if in tempestuous seasons they can only tell us that when the storm is past the ocean is flat again."
He's dead, by the way, almost 70 years in the ground,
Regards,
John |

December 1914 was when Karl Liebknecht defied Party Orders and voted against further war credits in the Reichstag. Earlier in the year he had submitted to party discipline and voted to give the Ministry of War what it wanted.
We should remember those who died - and those who said NO to the imperialist war ! |
