My students look wiped out just about everyday. I asked them why they looked so tired and the said they have more classes this term. I then asked how many classes they had last term and they told me 25 a week but this term they have about 40 classes a week. Sometimes they have 10 classes a day so by the end of the day they don't want to do anything in my class. They told me in China the second term is more difficult for college/university students. When I taught last year though I don't remember seeing my students looking so exhausted.

Do the students have more classes at your college/university this term compared with last term?

My students have the same class load as last term, but perhaps not as much as yours, rioux.
This term, they have more choices of classes, and more electives,
and as not enough have signed up for English classes (20 students minimum)... we FTs have No class schedule as yet Exclamation

Freshmen English is not mandatory this year, and there is an obvious lack of promotion...
Admin is addressing this, and we expect changing back to the previous system for next term.
In the meantime, we are chomping at the bit, ready to run when the flag goes up
