Can you imagine the outrage if some government stole donations meant for the Red Cross, Greenpeace, or another non-profit organization? Well it have been going on for over a year as the the U.S. government ordered Master Card, Visa, Western Union and all the commercial banks in 167 countries not to process over a million dollars a month people are trying to make to Wikileaks and for the legal fees of Julian Assange, who by the way, is not even a citizen, and who has not been convicted of any crime in any country.

How does America get away with this illegal priracy? Think about it... how van the President of one country tell 6 billion people of other sovereign countries who they give their own money to? America is becoming more like China every single day. |

Dear MI2B4U,
I was unable to find the story on the link you supplied. Was it published later than July, 2013, the date of this story?
"(Reuters) - International credit card donations to WikiLeaks are flowing again after an Icelandic court ruling forced MasterCard's and Visa's local agent to process payments, the anti-secrecy organization said on Wednesday.
One of WikiLeaks' most important sources of funding - donations made from Visa and MasterCard users around the globe - was cut off in 2010 when the firms stopped processing donations to WikiLeaks' only direct credit card payment line, located in Iceland.
Their move came after criticism by the United States of the anti-secrecy organization's release of thousands of sensitive U.S. diplomatic cables, which embarrassed Washington.
The online payment service PayPal, also among the firms that suspended WikiLeaks accounts used to collect donations, said at the time it had acted at the behest of the U.S. government, which deemed WikiLeaks' activities illegal in the United States.
"This is in my mind a big victory in the ongoing battle against the financial companies that have attacked us," WikiLeaks spokesman Kristinn Hrafnsson said by telephone from New York."

Why do people keep posting this? It was in 2010. I know, it's crappy. Don't trust America. Staying informed means reading the news more than once every 3 or so years
Oh, by the way, did anyone hear about this new party that seems to be gaining some votes in Germany, I'm not sure of the English but the German acronym is something like NSDAP? Anyone? Apparently they've got big plans. Anyone? |

Dear Sparks,
Don't trust any county over 30 - or under 30 - or 30.

I think it's like the golden rule rule...whoever has the gold makes the rules. Not that America has gold anymore...Nukes, America has nukes. Let's just call it the rule of nukes. Whoever has the nukes makes the rules.
Indeed, becoming more like China everyday. Shame two of the biggest societies on earth have to be two of the worst.
It's still the Land of the Free (TM); it's just missing an 'r' these days...
And as I like to say: there is no such thing as corrupt governments. Governments do exactly what they intend to do. |

More than shame, i'd say; an embarrassement to humanity although in different ways.
Yet, there are others like the EU nations to scorn; in last hundred years, they've helplessly brought more significant conflicts on themselves and the world than Russia or China have.
Anyhow, whether those nations wise up or others like India, Russia or Latin America produce better societies remains to be seen; whether people such as Julian Assange are the ideal examples of better citizens of Earth hangs over our horizons. |
