I'm arriving in Japan on the 8th March with a 12 month working visa. I've just noticed that it will be a single entry visa, and if I want to leave Japan I need to get a 're-entry' visa.
I'm planning on leaving Japan for 5 days from the 11-16 March, to visit Taiwan.
Does anyone know how/if I can obtain the re-entry visa in just 3 days? |

| There's no such thing as a "re-entry visa" anymore. You just tell them at the airport and they'll handle it. The new system changed some things. |

| Really? I was in the Osaka immigration office two weeks ago and the sign for "re-entry visa" was still displayed and the position manned! |

If you leave the country for more than a year, you need a re-entry permit. If you leave for less than a year, you don't. |
