i'm sure it can be done, i'm sure it has been done.
but can you do it?
or rather....can you get away with it?
you're only permitted one valid visa at a time.
your tourist visa is still valid.
you don't have an exit stamp.
will the consulate officials notice this?
will they cancel your current valid tourist visa?
will they simply deny your visa application?
let's say they cancel your tourist visa and give you a work visa.
what happens when you do your border crossing, seeing as how you
need an entry stamp to bring your work visa online? |

I would also guess the answer is no. They will cancel your tourist visa to issue you a work visa. If you then get it sent back to you in China then you are in the country without a visa (as you didn't enter on the work visa and no longer have a valid tourist visa). I would think that might be a bit of a headache if someone notices.
If you don't want to travel back home then you should probably just go somewhere else (SE Asia, HK) and then send all your stuff off from there and re-enter China on the work visa once everything is returned. |
