I read some mixed reviews on here about Comunicorp in Chile, but they are from quite a few years ago.

I wanted to see if anyone here has any recent experience/opinion about working for Comunicorp?

Thanks!

I've recently returned to the U.S. after teaching for at Comunicorp. I found it a very poorly run institute. The owner is rarely around and seems to have very little interest in the institute. The two very young women handling day to day business are Chileanas, one of whom speaks no English and the other of whom has a huge chip on her shoulder toward gringas. You will get very little help from either of them.

The books are British and terrible--lots of errors, limited exercises. You are expected to supplement the material in the books, but there are no resources, no copy machine for teachers' use. Several months ago, Comunicorp did not get a contract it hoped for and it scaled down--moving to a smaller office, giving away all the extra books and printed resources.

The pay is good compared to other institutes and schools in Santiago, but Comunicorp does not alway pay promptly.

I have taught in four other countries outside the U.S. and this is the worst job among those.
