Can anybody enlighten me on what the visa process is if I was to live in Bahrain and travel the causeway over to KSA to work? Do I get a Bahraini visa? KSA visa? just curious how this works. Thanks |

There may be some tricks that I am unaware of but the guys I knew doing this just had your standard re-entry Saudi visa and got their fresh n new short-term Bahraini visa at each crossing.
The only problems I saw them ever run into was when Bahrain was erupting and the gate was closed off and on + their Saudi Rep. f&*%$ing up and not renewing their Saudi exit/re-entry in time for a weekend here and there. |

My knowledge is patchy so take it for what it's worth...
first you need an apartment in Bahrain. Once you have that, you take the tenancy agreement and a utility bill (I think) down to some office and use that to get a CPR number (I don't believe they issue cards for those in the situation you describe).
Once you have the CPR you can use that to do things like open a bank account and other stuff as you're technically resident in Bahrain... kind of. |

Are you just speculating at this point, or do you have an actual job offer? I ask because as a woman, you may not have any options as to where you live. Saudi employers often designate where female employees are housed and sometimes, how they're transported as well. However, if your employer provides you with a housing allowance, you need to factor in the cost of a driver (above the transportation allowance, if offered) who will shuttle you between Bahrain and KSA each day. That could get pricey. |
