Well, I wouldn't react like the American pattern, though I do hail from that area of the world. Maybe I've just dealt with Germans for too long.
The German one seems to be very accurate, in my opinion. |

Dear JN,
They're all "generalizations," of course, but from what limited experience I've had with "business types" in the States, it seems pretty accurate in the main to me.

Yes, I agree (from the little I know), but for me, personally, it would be different. I didn't like debate in school, so I can see why the American pattern doesn't fit for me.
I was just looking at the Dutch pattern and it reminded me that sometimes I have heard Germans get into long debates, but I don't know if this would spill over into the business context. |

It seems the Chinese one fits people who want business communications. On mainland, willingness is often enough, and, yes, it's about the harmony and faces which to me is more humane than the American monopolizing model. |
