My TA not only majored in English, she specialized in interpretation, as opposed to translation, ie, oral skills instead of written skills.
She gets in tune with what I’m doing in the classroom, explains everything to the class, and gets involved with the students. She’s not only dynamite in the classroom, she’s very effective outside the classroom. She not only has excellent communication skills, she has an excellent attitude. When I need to do something outside the classroom - look for a difficult to find product, buy a travel ticket, visit the doctor, pick up a delivery - she hangs with me til the task is accomplished.
I wouldn’t trade a good TA for all the culture of Beijing, the bustle of Shanghai, the proximity of Guangzhou, the beauty of Hangzhou, the weather of Dalian, the job market of Zhengzhou. Although I would compromise for the convenience of Hong Kong.

Give her something nice next Teacher's Day. The TAs too often miss out. |

I agree 100%. My TA is one of the few reasons I have not walked from my sh*t job already. The other 32 reasons cannot even pronounce my name correctly yet, but they have grown on me - my students. |
