So I am planning on working in either Shanghai or Shenzen next year.
How tough is it to get privates or extra work on the side? |

Mine always find me. I've never had to go looking.
Learn about the prevailing attitude/enforced law regarding working outside of your contract. Some areas have begun cracking down on extracurricular work.
But you already knew that by reading recent posts, right? |

If they are like the other cities where (you have a pulse and can control your bowel movements on a regular basis), you can find extra work no problem. Just go on the local website job advertisement websites that have loads of job postings. Once you get into your city if you aren't socially retarded you can ask one of your friends "hey, I'm looking for some extra money", and there is a good chance that they'll know someone. Also, if you have a Chinese friend, they always know people who know other people who know other people  You catch the drift.
