I know I know, I used the search and it sucks I spent the last couple weeks reading mixed reviews about Aston but realize that it will be different depending on the location you go to so I was wondering about the location in Xiamen. Also I realize that I should not use a recruiter but I am a newbie at this and I talked to a few schools directly but they will not consider a 6-8 month contract(that is all I can go this time and I know I should wait till I can go a full year but I have already decided I want to go this Sept.) I also realize that many people who do have good experiences rather not post on here about them which makes things difficult as well. Pay seems average maybe a little low but not to worried about that I am just concerned about not getting paid what I am supposed to get or if they do not follow what there contract stipulates. I will be asking to speak to teachers at this school when I talk to Karl Shine in the next week but just wondering if anyone has had any experiences with this school.

Ask to speak with a foreign teacher who is working there. Not the Foreign Teacher Manager, but a foreign teacher and don't speak to them while they are at school either.

Also, this wouldn't hurt, ask for pictures of the apartment you will be staying in, not the apartment shown on the aston recruiting website.
