Dear All
I am currently teaching a group and part of it related to thought groups when reading (so students can decide when to pause). I remember a humerous passage that is unpunctuated and can have different meanings depending on how it is punctuated (or how it is read).
If memory serves me right, it is a reply to a letter, but that is all I can remember.
If anyone can point me in the right direction, I would be grateful.
Regards

I don't know if it is the letter you are referring to but there is something similar in the book 'Eats Shoots and Leaves.' You can find it here:
