I did not know that the English Language 342 at Jubail University College (JUC) has a Beauty Club which is promoting skin care and personality boost in the Magic Kingdom!

It was recommend by the Prophet pbuh. It is a Sunna ! As is the use of henna !

scotty you mean it was recommended by the Prophet (PBUH).

I think the use of perfume will depend on the percentage of alcohol in it. Some Moslem scholars say if the percentage of the alcohol is low (<5%), then there is no need to worry.

Why? Are you going to be under the influence of the 'drink coming from grapes and grain' just by smelling it?

By perfumes (not the usual French kind), Muslims usually use purified, non alcohol based perfumes- 'attar'. The Prophet (PBUH) said to use it in moderation.

As for 'henna' absorbed into the skin and hair, becomes part of the body and is allowed.

I wonder historically if they used Ambergris in their perfumes. Laughing Kind of reminds me of the "Tales from the Crypt" episode "Forever Ambergris".
