Dear Teachers:

Be advised that the formerly named Shenzhen Nanshan Bilingual School is going by a new name:

Nanshan Chinese International College

Anyone doing research on this school should know the history. Shenzhen Nashan Bilingual School and Nanshan Chinese International College are the same school.

A few recent updates on so called "Nanshan Chinese International College (NCIC)" or Shenzhen Nanshan Bilingual School:

1. This school has lost 3 foreign teachers in the first half of this Academic Year, e.g., just in Business Studies and Economics Department that employed only 2 foreign teachers; the head of Business and Economics department did not last his probation period…

a) Tim Simpson has asked a former Chinese A2 Level student to come back to the high school and teach A2 students since the school did not have a teacher!

b) A student was teaching students?!

c) The school has lost 50% of its foreign staff just in the first half of new Academic Year!

2. The school lost the Head of Maths Department for well known reasons; any qualified and well experienced teacher with self-respect and a sense of dignity could not handle Youcef's MESSY backstabbing dictator type management.

3. More teachers want to leave regardless Phillip and Youcef's efforts to slash teaching hours and keep "everyone happy"...

4. More than 10 students left the high school after the first semester in Jan 2014; CIE school has just over 200 students in total.

5. Over 80 IGCSE students did not get their Business Studies Final Term Two exam grades in January 2014 as their foreign teacher was unfairly dismissed by HR Tina Dong and Phillip Lan (Mr Lan, Principle’s son); It's just a family “factory”...

6. "Nanshan Chinese International College" is under investigation by Nanshan Tax Bureau for tax violations.

- Phillip Lan's accountant charges every teacher a tax on everything!

- They tax house allowance, air tickets, over time pay and whatever their staff gets.

- However they pay teachers' tax money to the government selectively.

- The management is in a habit of pocketing a good portion of tax payments. Five days ago Penny, Mr Lan’s/Principle’s secretary, went around to collect teachers signatures for a Tax Bureau with a purpose to get permission to verify their tax payments as the School is under investigation!!!

7. "Nanshan Chinese International College" is under investigation by Nanshan Public Security Bureau (Immigration Department). The school is still in a habit to hire teachers illegally without giving any contract to them.

- The immigration officers came to NanshanChineseInternationalCollege on 16 January, 2014 and 14 February, 2014. The illegally employed teachers had to run!

- When the immigration officers showed up at the school for the second time the school fired their ‘exploited victims’ without any compensation!!

- Della (a young mini-skirt type, Chinese lady who does visa paperwork and "helps" foregn staff in a very slack and disrespectful way, she is "always very busy...") paniced and she begged every foreign teacher to carry a passport at all times. I guess she got that order from Natalie (Principal's secretary) or Phillip Lan (Mr Lan's son).

8. Two good teachers have taken this "criminal organization" to the Labor Court. The hearing will take place at the end of March, 2014. They will make the strongest protest and condemnation and will call to account school’s management guilt by any possible means.

9. The school provides fake health and accident insurance to the foreign teachers that never worked. The school did not pay a penny for “evening studies” in the first semester to foreign staff. The school did not pay for overtime to some foreign staff.

10. Mr Lan, the Principal, who signs the most of contracts may end for 15 days in jail in accordance with Chinese labor law, if he will not comply with the court orders.

More interesting updates to come!!
